DESIGN CHALLENGE: 7 DAYS OF UI
1 Week of 1-hour Designs
1 Week of 1-hour Designs

BRIEF
BRIEF
Inspired by prompts from Daily UI, I took on a challenge to create new UI designs for 1 week. As a results I was able to explore different layouts and visual systems, while practicing my skills in a fun and engaging process.
To make things more interesting, I:
Created both mobile and desktop versions for each prompt.
Only allowed myself to work on each design for 1 hour (including both mobile and desktop layouts).

Day 3 - Landing Page
Day 3 - Landing Page
Challenge for day 3 was to create a landing page. Inspired by my culture, I made a landing page for a restaurant that serves Ukrainian traditional food. I made emphasis on using color and photography to fully engage the natural and warm atmosphere that comes with the cuisine.

Day 5 - Analytics Chart
Day 5 - Analytics Chart
This day was the most challenging to me in terms of typography. I wanted to use something that felt inviting yet calm, to match the atmosphere of the sleep tracking app that I chose to design. After lots of time I settled on this soft, yet slightly nudging with its tilt font, matched with a color palette inspired by that of a sunset.

Day 6 - User Profile
Day 6 - User Profile
My second-to-last day called for a user profile. In this simple yet engaging layout I was inspired by picture books as they capture the excitement that comes with exploring new places, especially when accompanied by loved ones, and the desire to document all the little details for future re-visits.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Because of how quick the process was, I had to get a lot more comfortable trusting my instincts and going with the vision.
Due to the variety of concepts, I feel more confident using different design systems (such as colors, fonts and components.)

I think this project would be fun to pursue for a longer time, as it was very refreshing to simply play around with the concepts and different styles.
I would want to prototype interactions into the designs, to further enhance the experience.
